09:36 pm - 4 Years for a console's lifespan?
Way too fucking short. The NES lasted 6 years until the SNES came out, SNES lasted 6 years until the N64 was released (and both the NES and SNES lasted another year or 2 after their successor came out). Pattern? 4 years for XBOX, 6 years for Sony (wow they did something right), 5 years for Cube. I love the Xbox (especially now since I got mine softmodded) but Microsoft can't think of it like a computer and expect to make a new one every other year. The Xbox hasnt even been tapped to its fullest yet.
Anyway, with only one exam left, expect a lot more from me in the space. I know I said that before but trust me, this time I will.
EDIT: I still like the old Xbox logo more than 360 logo. Thoughts on XBOX 360 tomorrow, but thats just because i still have one more final.

Today I got a Pyschopathic Records comforter and earlier this week I picked up a Pyschopathic Records pillow case. It's freaking sweet. I really bought these in preparation for my apartment/house bedroom next semester at WVU.

As much as I hate what Sony has done, I really want a PSP. I hate the price, I hate the idea of being forced to buying a bundle. But being able to play MVP Baseball 2005 wherever is such a great thing. So if you wish to donate to my "I want to buy a PSP to play MVP whevere and whenever I want to and play Metal Gear Acid and Ape Escape too" fund, I am glad to accept it.
Dont get me wrong, Sony is still number three behind Nintendo and Microsoft. Even though Nintendo is my livelyhood, XBOX is my favorite system of this generation. Which is why I am pissed if the XBOX 360 (or Next or 2 or whatever they will call it) comes out this year. 3 years is not the life span of a succesful console, 5 year at least is the lifespan. But with Xbox Live living on and they will still have the hard drive (optional at an extra cost however), I can't stay angry at Microsoft for long.
Damn Benihana is such an awesone place to dine.

Once again no updates in forever. It's hard to make time when it's already hard to try to get in time for WoW, MVP 2005, and school. Plus other games that I happen to rent or have yet to beat like Mega Man X8, Ace Combat 5, Resident Evil 4Crimson Skies, and Halo 2. Then theres the anime episodes that I d/l every week: Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, Samurai Champloo, BECK, Gundam SEED Destiny, and Mahou Sensei Negima. Probably the only time before summer I will be able to update consistently is Spring Break, however I'm planning on getting more gaming in that week then ever before. I hope to reach 50 (maybe not) in WoW, beat Mega Man X8, get a good amount through Ace Combat 5, and maybe beat Resident Evil 4 as well.
On to WoW, since I know everyone wants to know my character status. I hit lvl 35 last night. Highly doubt I will hit 40 by next weekend, too much stuff for school i.e. test in Global Issues (maybe, I'll find out on Monday if its moved to next week because of the last 2 classes were cancelled due to snow). Seriously, I can't wait until I get to lvl 40 so I can finally get my flaming horse of the damned.

No, I won't take that back. They killed 2D gaming on consoles, and will be dead soon on portables too since they can do 3D. Yes, they helped take gaming to the mainstream, but did anyone really think the 2 Spike TV Video Game Awards gave a positive image for the community? Well, Sony is at it again. Here's a qote i picked up from the Penny-Arcade.com forums:
"So it's $250 for a handheld system, and $50 for a handheld game? Yeah right, good luck with that Sony."
Sony announced that the PSP will be released on March 24 for 250 bucks. Yeah, you heard 250 bucks for a bundle. That's right too, you can't just buy the system; you have to buy the system with a memory stick, headphones with remote control, a battery pack, AC adapter, soft case and cleaning cloth, and a UMD disc with game-demo movies, and a music and video sampler. I really don't want all that shit anyway. Plus the memory stick is priced by it self as 25-40 bucks. Without the memory stick, and headphones, that's like 0 bucks of the price. Do they really think they can compete with Nintendo with this? Nintendo knows its stuff about portable systems. They know not to sell it for the price of a new console. I mean, fuck christ, for 50 bucks more i got my Xbox, also a PS2, and for 50 bucks less I got a Cube, all at launch. Oh, plus there is a problem with the square button on the PSP where it can stick and pop bakc up slower than the rest of the buttons. Sony's response? That's not a development error but a user error. WHAT THE FUCK?!?! They said people are pushing the button left and right which is causing it to stick. Um...it was found out that the problem could be solved by increasing the size of the system just a lil so that the square button wasnt so close to the screen (which was causing it to stick). However, Sony couldn't make it a couple centimeters bigger becuase they think its perfect.
The N-Gage was released at around the same price and had problems with its design. What happened to it? It's struggling to survive in the market.
Oh, call me Nintendo fanboy if you must. I grew up with Nintendo, so I do have a bias opinion on them. But any sane person would know the PSP has a shitty price and shitty design. Except for those fucks at Sony.
Damn I miss Sega.

06:36 pm - Sleep sucks, being tired sucks
God damn, this Accounting class sucks. We are going over Chapter 2 and then take a quiz on Chapter 1. However, nothing is going on in the chat and i still have to wait until 7pm to take it, i'm pissed.
Anyway, finally going bowling tonight after a two week hiatus. Hope I'm not rusty.
Working on 3-4 hours of sleep today. No nap. And I want to get on WoW when i get back from bowling. I shouldn't since i have 3 classes tomorrow at 10, 11 and 1. Sleep sucks.

05:41 pm - Week In Review 2
Once again, it is almost time for my online Accounting class' online chat. Currently I am watching the Federer/Safin semifinals match from the Australian Open. Damn good match. Hopefully it is over before 6 (since this is a tape delay the match already ended hours ago and it went 4 hours plus, but ESPN cut a little bit out in the 2nd set and nothing before or after).
I don't think one will be as long as the last one since I plan to update more daily than I used to. I forget a lot of things by the time a week goes by, so I need to do thing daily.
Good news, I passed my test for my Intro to Computers with a 80 out of 100. That's a B but since it was the highest score out of everyone who tried to test out of the class, my teacher gave me an A. That's helps a lot considering i need around a 3.25 to get the 3.00 gpa i need this year for the Promise Scholarship.
Damn, my class hasn't even started and I'm already out things to say. Yep, I will update this weekend. And if I think of anything during class, I will update then too. BTW, this is the first Thursday since October I will not be bowling or going out somewhere.
Oh one last thing. I could use name suggestions or a Night Elf, Orc, and/or Undead for World Of Warcraft.

Well, as I promised, I am currently waiting for my Accounting online class to begin. This really is going to suck every week. Anyway, school isn't too bad.
Easy days so far thanks to the snow day on Wed. I only got 4 hours of sleep today thanks to that snow though. Woke up at 2pm so i couldn't sleep, and i had to wake up at 8am. Ugh. But good thing about me not being able to sleep is that I found that XM has a station with J-Pop! It's called U-Pop and it plays pop music from all over the world and has like 2 hours at night dedicated to J-Pop.
About school, my favorite class will be raquetball. God, what an easy A and will be a fun class. Global Issues will be easy thanks to not having to write papers. I dropped my Communications class (well not yet officially) and and aking Spanish 2 which makes this semester really easy. Which is nice considering I need about a 3.25 this semster to keep my scholarship.
What else. I went to Wal-mart later in the night after I got XM. I went to get Resident Evil 4, a memory card for the Cube, and a FM modulator for XM so i can listen to XM in the car. I bought two of those items, and came home with only Resident Evil 4. It seems I needed to buy the car kit for the modulator to work with my Delphi receiver, so I returned it right after i opened it in the car. Here's the thing now, last night i went ahead and ordered the car kit since my books didn't cost me that much. Plus, i finally got my memory card and bought another FM modulator (this time i didnt return it) and will have XM in my car by next week.
About the memory card, I bought a new Gamecube since mine broke. I thought why should i spend 50 bucks to get it repaired when i could pay the extra 50 and get a new platinum cube with 2 controllers and Mario Kart Double Dash. So, with those extra 2 controllers I had a total of 5. Last night I took one of my black ones to get some money to put toward the memory card. Well, EB only gave me 3 bucks...I took it of course who else would buy it from me.
Since i had the memory card, I was finally able to play RE4, and its fucking awesome. It's got a great scary feeling to it, like you expect something to happen but you dont know what or when. And the control, oh god is it better than previous RE. Plus no ribbons are needed to save, and bullets everywhere! If you played a RE game before you know how great that is to know. Oh and even though there are no zombies in the game, but the humans wont die like humans, you have to shot them about 5-10 times for the dead. Yes, even head shots don't work.
Oh, check out Ghost In The Shell tonight at 12:30am or on Saturdays at 12:30am, its a really great show that in the past few weeks made me fall in love. And dont forget Fullmetal Alchemist at midnight on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Warlock is at level 25, should reach 26, maybe 27 this weekend. That depends on how much time i have to devote to this Intro to Computers class I'm testing out of. Seems I fucked up and now have to read the entire book (7 chapters) by Monday at 8am for the test. However, its really basic shit so i know 99% of it already.
This Accounting class doesnt seem bad but it just inconvenient that it cant be like other online classes. I mean like only having due dates instead of making us meet once every week. I don't have a problem with but some do.
Holy shit that was long. Seems like I'm going to do this shit every Thursday, without updating during the week much. Or else I wouldnt have something to keep me occupied. This seems to be it for me for now. I hope this ends soon cause I'm really hungry and need to get some coffee to stay awake for the party tonight at Britney's for Jena.
